One of App State's strengths is their dedication to sustainability, and both the Free Store (which is available to all students, staff, and faculty despite their socioeconomic status) and the Green Appal program are successful initiatives to get undergraduates involved in that strength. It discusses a broader range of sustainable initiatives as well as walking participants through a smaller-scale program. Sustainability is often overlooked in favor of programming to entertain residents, and sessions like this are important to combine education and engagement. Delegates will gain a deeper understanding of simple sustainable practices that can be implemented in residence halls.
